My Introduction

Introduction to Me

My name is Kailon I’m 17 years old, and welcome to my AICE Media Studies blog. I joined the Cambridge program for a chance to got to college completely for free. When I first joined I thought Cambridge was all about hard work, but as I started this course I realized Media studies is a fun class and the work is interactive. The many classes we have had up until this point where we learn about shots, angels and other elements of film have taught me that film and every aspect of it is an interesting path. I am also interested in watching films and shows. I watch shows such as “Regular Show” and “Bleach” and movies such as “Batman The Dark Knight”. I’m currently apart of my school’s Cambridge program, and the purpose of this blog is to document my journey throughout the research, planning, and production process as I create my final project for the Cambridge Media Studies course. For my media project, I’ll be creating a short film. I chose this project because it allows me to combine storytelling, visual creativity, and technical production. Although I’m new to photography and film, this class has sparked a genuine interest in both, and they’ve become personal passions of mine. Through this project, I’ll be learning to express ideas through visual storytelling while developing new skills in cinematography, directing, editing, and scriptwriting. Throughout the year, this blog will track each stage of my filmmaking process; from initial research and concept development to scripting, shooting, and post-production. I’m looking forward to this experience and to seeing how my passion for photography and film continues to grow throughout the year. Thank you for reading my first post, stay tuned for updates!
